A journey through the Andean landscapes and ceremonial centers that connect Cusco to Machu Picchu. Discover the living heritage of the Incas in their villages, markets, and fortresses.

Pisaq: Market and Archaeological Center

Our first stop immerses us in Andean culture. First, we will explore the famous Pisaq market, a feast for the senses where tradition comes to life. Here, amidst the hustle and vibrant colors, you can interact with local artisans and admire their textiles, ceramics, and jewelry. Then, we will ascend to the imposing archaeological complex that dominates the valley. This site was not only a fortress but also a ceremonial and agricultural center of great importance, with terraces that seem to climb the sky and a solar observatory that demonstrates the advanced astronomical knowledge of the Incas.

Ollantaytambo: Living Inca Town

Prepare to travel back in time in Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that has been continuously inhabited since its founding. Its cobblestone streets and original water channels transport us to another era. We will ascend the imposing terraces of its fortress, a military and religious stronghold that was the scene of one of the few Inca victories over the Spanish conquistadors. At the top, the Temple of the Sun, with its perfectly assembled granite monoliths, reveals a level of engineering and mysticism that will leave you breathless.

Chinchero: Birthplace of the Rainbow

On the high plains of Chinchero, where the sky seems closer and the views of the snowy peaks are spectacular, we will conclude our tour. This town is the heart of Andean textile art. We will visit a weaving center where local women will demonstrate their ancestral techniques, from washing and dyeing wool with natural pigments to weaving complex designs that tell stories. In addition to its cultural richness, Chinchero is home to a fascinating archaeological site and a colonial church built on Inca foundations, a symbol of cultural syncretism.
